About

“Anne-Christine is the kind of writer editors dream about—one whose response to an edit is swift and masterful. It is a pleasure to work with her.”

– Cathleen Medwick, Literary Editor, More Magazine
“Anne-Christine knows how to take a briefing and run with it, delivering top-quality work on time, every time. All I had to do was tell her the latest newsletter topic, and within a few days I’d get compelling, well-researched copy that helped me keep up contacts with customers and prospects, pull them into the website, and add valuable content for other website visitors, too.”

- Shad Khan, Marketing Operations Manager, Serena Software
“I’ve managed customer success programs for major high-tech companies for more than 15 years now, and since 1996 Anne-Christine has been my go-to writing resource, supporting me at every company I’ve worked for. Her skill, professionalism, and reliability have always reflected well on me, contributing both to the success of the companies we’ve worked for and to my own success in meeting my professional goals.”

- Rae Harrison, Reference Marketing Manager, Big Sky Communications

For more than 20 years I’ve been writing copy that promotes my clients’ technologies, builds confidence in their vision and stability, and helps convert their prospects to customers. During the past five years I have expanded my business to include writing magazine articles and personal essays.

Marketing writing for high-tech companies

At the start of my career I wrote white papers explaining the radical new concept of client/server architecture. In the 1990s, I wrote a brochure for Oracle called The Internet Changes Everything (was I right, or what?). And, recently I’ve been writing about the challenges and opportunities of cloud computing.

I’ve stayed successful in this fast-changing business because I come up to speed rapidly. I’m good at figuring out what prospects care about. And I know how to translate all that into copy that grabs readers and pushes them to take the next step.

I began my career in England, writing for clients including Thames Water and Citicorp British National. I moved back to the U.S. in 1991 and worked as Manager of Marketing Writing at Oracle, and then Manager of Marketing Writing at Sybase. Since 1996, I’ve been offering my marketing writing skills on a contract basis, and have won kudos and repeat business from companies ranging from Adobe to ZoneLabs.

Magazine writing

My personal writing has been published in More Magazine, The Christian Science Monitor, three volumes of the Cup of Comfort anthology series, and aired on KQED. To promote the Cup of Comfort books, I gave an interview on a cable TV program and held readings at multiple bookstores.

I hold degrees in English and art history from Smith College and Oxford University.

This page is “about” me. But I’d rather start a conversation about your business, your goals, and how I can help you realize them. Contact me.
